The Hill End Ranch is ideal for the family to 'get away from it all' and experience the various activities which are available. There are usually vacancies on Friday, Saturday and Sunday for that weekend retreat. School holidays and long weekends are particularly popular and it is advisable to book well in advance.

As is usually the case - 'the best things in life are free' - most activities listed below are free. There is a nominal charge for those marked (*).

Self-catering facilities are available for guests staying at the railway sleeper carriages, the miner's cottage and the large caravan. Meals are also available at the Royal Hotel bistro and the general store Gallery Cafe. Breakfast is available daily for all in the Ranch dinning room.
